Misburg ist ein Stadtteil mit gro\u00dfen Kontrasten. Da ist einerseits das viele Gr\u00fcn, das sich im Norden findet, mit dem See, weiten W\u00e4ldern und einem Waldreben-Dschungel am Wietzegraben, den wir f\u00fcr Sie besucht haben. Ein verwunschener Ort – in diesen
\nTagen noch ohne Gr\u00fcn, doch trotzdem imposant.
\nDa ist der Mittellandkanal, an dem sich wunderbar flanieren l\u00e4sst und der Stichkanal, der seinen eigenen Charme hat. Doch die aktuelle Entwicklung am alten Zementhafen des Stichkanals steht f\u00fcr die andere Seite Misburgs: Der industriell gepr\u00e4gte Stadtteil im Umbruch, mit seinen Industriedenkm\u00e4lern und Gewerbebrachen, mit seinen Kalkmergelgruben und hohen Industriegeb\u00e4uden.
\nUm den alten Zementhafen an einem Ende des Stichkanals dreht sich derzeit die intensivste Diskussion in Misburg. Wird es Papenburg schaffen, tats\u00e4chlich einen Teil der Wasserfl\u00e4che zuzusch\u00fctten und dort neue Industriefl\u00e4chen zu erobern? Wir haben uns auf dem Gel\u00e4nde umgeschaut. \nDie Deurag-Nerag war einst wichtiger Wirtschaftsfaktor der Region – heute ist kaum noch etwas von diesem riesigen Unternehmen sichtbar, das einst \u00d6l aus der Heide raffinierte und im 2. Weltkrieg bevorzugtes Ziel f\u00fcr Bomben war. Wir haben der Deurag-Nerag
